Group Message DND

Does this work for anyone? I've tried to set an iMessage group to DND but my screen still lights up every time I receive a message from that group. All it does is stop it from vibrating/playing text tone.

Is this all it's supposed to do? I would've thought it would act the same as the general DND.

(yes all the members of the group are on iOS 8)
