I'm not sure you are serious......

Anyone who can afford a $119 laptop stand, probably is surrounded by wood. That's the point. Those of us who appreciate expensive furniture don't want some cheap plastic stand holding our monitor....

Let me enlighten you on how a beautiful office can look....

http://www.decoist.com/2012-07-02/tips-for-creating-an-efficient-home-office/

I'm pretty sure not a single one of those offices ISN'T using wood. Every executive where I work has wood desks.....

Technology and wood go hand in hand.....

They sure don't, and that looks horrible. The only reason executives have all that wood is because they want to be seen as having lots of money, and high quality wood furniture is very expensive. Good try though.

More like they HAVE lots of money which based on your comments in this thead you neither have lots of money nor can appreciate the beauty that wood has to offer. I mean sure you can use a cheap IKEA desk that is plastic and particle board, but that is neither pleasing or warm.

I think based on your comments you don't have lots of money. See what I did there? Made a clueless statement with no empirical evidence to back it up. Like you did. Pleasing or warm HAHA. Oh dear.

It's really strange for you to grasp this maybe, but there are other materials in existence. Like metal. I know, mind: blown.

This is the Apple Watch Killer -- LOL -- What were they thinking???

Nope I dont. And if you think metal makes for a beautiful and warm working environment that people yearn to have, then you my friend are sadly very mistaken.

Metal, plastic, and particle board are cheap, stale and uninviting. Again, there is a reason people pay thousands for a nice WOOD office set....

Does anybody know the name of that lamp on the desk?! It's beautiful!

Yeah they pay for nice wood because it's exceedling expensive and makes a statement about your wealth, like a luxurious watch does.

When I was 20 something, I didn't understand it either. Then I started making real money and I started to understand the better things in life. Once you start making real money, I think you will understand. Unless you majored in philosophy or something. When I was starting out, even IKEA seemed out of my reach at times..... Now I wouldn't buy a piece of IKEA furniture unless I absolutely needed it.

We get it you like terrible design and the rich smell of mahogany. More power to you! Enjoy life! Haha

Wow that is absolutely hideous! So incredibly tacky. It's really sad that people think wood and technology go together. This is just abysmal.

Every once in a while I see a quote from someone so far out in their own expanse of the universe, that it just has to be printed out and hung up on the fridge in our lounge, for all our designers to marvel at, and remember, regardless of everything they went to school for and studied for and considered and experimented with and tried and failed and tried again and succeeded over the entirety of their careers, it cannot be denied, that people like you, also exist.

Thank you, for this months sobering reminder.

Ha, this made me laugh out loud this morning. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees the absurdity that he keeps spewing...

We are at an impasse at this point. Obviously you are happy being surrounded by metal and plastic. I relent that while 99% of the world disagrees with your stance, we each have our own opinion. I will continue to strive to fill my home with the warm natural beauty of wood, and you can continue to fill your life with the cold cheap utility of metal and plastic. To each his own.

But mark my words, some day when you are shopping for furniture your opinion will change. Cheap will give way to finer things and then you will understand. Until then, it is pointless for me to waste my life arguing with you.....

Maybe I'm being fooled by the angle of the photo. In any case, I can't comfortably use a trackpad on a stand like that. I use my wireless mouse when I'm home and the trackpad when I'm the road (without a stand).
It's not intended to be used with the laptop's trackpad when on the stand. The purpose of the stand is to elevate the screen; you use it in conjunction with a mouse (as pictured) or an external touchpad.
