GS use same cord and brick as first gen?

Will my 1st gen cords and power bricks work with the new GS? Will I damage anything by using them?

I thought I heard stories where the new touches and phones would not charge with the old cords.

yeah i just plugged mine in at it worked fine. I was also using i 3G dock i bought yesterday but cords were form my 2G phone
