Carrier GSM roaming on CDMA

So this year the most versatile phone is either Sprint or Verizon due to supporting both GSM & CDMA; however, let's say I used an unlocked VZ phone on my TMO (GSM) account, can I roam on a CDMA carrier? It doesn't happen often but as a TMO customer I find when you go too far outside major metros, you often have terrible or non-existent service.

no, there is no roaming agreement between TM and VZ since they are competing in the same market/territory.
