GTA III to be released tomorrow

It's a universal app available for ipad 1&2, iphone 4 & 4S and ipod 4th gen.

Looks pretty good and not a bad price point at $4.99
 
Half the US must be downloading right now because it is REALLY going slow. Freaking killing me I want to play this 🙂

Yep, it takes me right back to 10 years ago when I was playing this on the PS2! As crappy as my memory is, I believe this is an exact replica. Graphics and all. Which is good, because it means it will play just as well on the ipad 1.

Any GTA fan seriously needs to get this game!

The only real negative I can come up with is the fact that there are some missions later in the game that are going to be VERY VERY difficult to get past. For instance, there are some racing missions where if you even bump into something like a street light, etc.., that you will lose the race. How I am going to be able to do a race and not hit anything I have no idea. I mean, some of the later missions were difficult with a Playstation controller, can only imagine what it will be like with the touchscreen.

Has anyone figured out how to fire a gun out the window of a car? I've only got the pistol so far.

Gun shooting out the window has eluded me so far. In fact, some of the missions so far have been difficult because I can't shoot out the window. You know the ones where you have to destroy a truck or car. So instead I had to ram the thing about a hundred times to get the engine to catch fire and blow the car up.

I have a feeling we are going to see a few patches shortly.
 
Waiting a bit to pick this one up, I have the trilogy (retail package) for my Mac and on the larger screens, wow they didn't age too well.

I will eventually end up buying it once the traffic slows down and decide what to trash off my overstuffed 64GB original iPad.

Honestly, I'm just shocked in general as it's smaller than the Nintendo DS port of Chinatown Wars and the slightly "toon shaded" visuals that was released what seems ages ago.

I personally can't wait for Vice City (especially if the entire 80's soundtrack is intact).

I can see San Andreas being a bit of a control challenge down the road. 😛
