This will probably be the first GTA game I don't buy for PC, more so that there hasn't been a Steam announcement. I really didn't enjoy this compared to VC or SA. Unless there are some great mods released, of course.

It can't be that hard to make one for mac. I mean, they made games like The Sims 2 on mac, you can't make GTA IV? -.- Seems like i really need to buy CrossOver now.

I'm assuming (hoping) that I will be able to run it on my 2.8 iMac with the 8800

^ I could imagine it'd run well on that setup. I'd say the comfortable minimum is going to be a 2.4ghz C2D, 8800. Probably need a lot of RAM considering it's a fairly busy sandbox game and has no loading within the game.

There's a big difference between the engines of The Sims 2 and GTA IV. It's likely going to need a beast of a computer, especially if they force them projected shadows on. It'll likely not run on Crossover, given that the Orange Box games which are very scalable don't run too well on it.

I'm assuming it's a "Games For Windows", this is awesome, this and MGS4 were the only games holding me back from buying a console, since GFW ports are usually TOP NOTCH in terms of supporting the 360 controller and Rockstar has always made good PC ports I'm sure this game will be awesome.

I know many people prefer a mouse/keyboard for GTA but the keyboard is too bad for driving and I love driving in GTA, I don't care about accurate shooting in GTA (shooting is not the focus of the game for me), the way the PS2 games worked is good enough for me and as I hear the 360/PS3 version got seriously revamped combat.

Games For Windows is one of the best things to happen to PC Gaming, many people disagree and say it has done nothing but I just got GRID and Devil May Cry 4 for the PC and the experience is flawless, the 360 controller is recognized in-game right out of the box (no need to install anything or configure anything and you are not asked to press "button 1" you are actually asked to press A or B or whatever reflecting the actual 360 controller) and in general both games work great.

I can finally get by without consoles! (well, maybe except the Wii, Nintendo's franchises are always nice to play) most good games come out on PC as well and with the awesome 360 controller support, you don't get an inferior experience in driving and 3rd person action/platformer games and with KB/M you get an inmensely better experience in shooters and strategy games. Best of both worlds! :)

I completely agree. I'm using the SAAC to get my 360 controller working with San Andreas. Keyboards have no analogue function and mouse driving is just plain weird (for me at least).

San Andreas Advanced Control. An app you run alongside SA that lets you use any controller you want, with analogue and rumble. It's pretty useful.
