My keyboard is set to default and still doesn't work. I downloaded the game a torrent from thepiratebay.org - GTA San Andreas for Intel Macs. I downloaded it using Vuze. The game, when I open it, says "Cider" on top. I don't know what the problem is... How did you download yours?

je moet het spel dawloaden via pb afkorting ... en dan via u torrent dawloaden snet en zonder virussen;)

The only problems I get is the occasional missing texture, the mouse not working on the menu screen and the space bar and 's' being interpretted as the same key, but I find that the Windows version has more glitches and crashes than the cider version. Perhaps it's down to the download, because I know there are different versions, some of which don't let you use the mouse or the spacebar at all in game. The one I downloaded was the distro marked "working perfect". I don't think I'm allowed to give any links, but I think we all know how to use Google! :p

If 25fps is the limited option, then I think I'm close to double that, which I think is quite an achievement on my spec. It's hard to measure these things though by eye - that's why I asked about a fps counter!

First off, I apologize for bumping up such an old thread, but...

I'm having the same problem. Under normal circumstances, all this would mean is no sprinting, and I'm content with that. But then when you get to that part in the beginning where you need to get a haircut and the pizza place and whatnot, at the haircut place, it says "Press Space" to select your haircut. But when I press "Space" nothing happens since it intrepets it as the "s" key, thus not allowing me to progress. Did you ever find a way past that? (I also tried literally pressing every key on my keyboard, and various fn+__ combinations)

Also, before the mouse worked fine. Now, I can't move the camera around. Whenever I do, the camera view just jerks back to where it was, resulting in this glitchy shaking whenever I move the mouse. Not to mention not being able to see where you're going.

I think some releases were better than others. The one I downloaded was named "GTA San Andreas for Intel Mac Everyting working perfect." and I was able to overcome these problems by changing the controls in settings, as you would normally. Perhaps try setting the sprint key to something else and then changing it back to SPACE. I could never fix the mouse in the menus, but I had no problems using it in-game. Rockstar games now sell GTA trilogy for Mac in a boxed DRM-heavy disc form and San Andreas separately on the Mac App Store and I'm sure they've fixed all of the bugs in their port.
