GTA SA Multiplayer mod on Mac?

Now that GTA SA is out for Mac, is it possible to add the Multiplayer mod that worked on PC?

Downloaded (twice, figured first time got corrupt so redownloaded), and refuses to run properly. Running from Terminal spits out an exception while trying to make a fullscreen view. Very disappointed.

I've only played the console versions before so Im having difficulty with the controls...
What set up do you all prefer? keyboard, keyboard+mouse, ps3 controller, etc
