Hello,

Would anybody be able to confirm whether the GTX 750 (non-Ti) is usable under Mountain Lion with the NVIDIA web drivers? I've heard conflicting reports regarding this and would rather know first hand from somebody before purchasing one.

As my GTX 980 is not supported under Mountain Lion and that my is preferred version of OS X for Logic (next to Snow Leopard), I intend to purchase the best possible single-slot GPU which is supported.

Thanks,

Troy

the fastest card you can use in mt lion is the 680 without drivers and with is the 780
I am aware of that but what I need to know is specifically whether the GTX 750 is supported, preferably from somebody who has tried it. I know that the 750 Ti is not supported and have heard some people say that the 750 is not either, which is why I am asking.

only in 10.10 with web drivers does the 750 work.

I had another look around and it seems that you are correct. Both the GTX 750 and 750 Ti are Maxwell GPUs.

That really only leaves me with the single-slot 6850 as a possibility. It's not quite as efficient but performs similarly to a 750 Ti. Is there a better single-slot GPU that I might have overlooked?
