I'm using a PC GTX 460 in my Mac Pro 1,1.

I used the ATY-Init method, but this is no longer necessary with the latest nVidia drivers.

Everything works perfectly, but not Apple boot screen.

You can get your card flashed by this guy: http://myworld.ebay.com/macvidcards/ for about $100 - which will optimize it for Mac (which includes getting the Boot Screens)

I'm running a GTX 570 from him and it's working nicely.

macvidcards is also a very helpful member on this forum, so if you have questions, he might pop up and assist~ as ORTOX said, the only real issue is no apple boot screen.

Just keep the factory card and use a pc gtx460, it will work, if you need boot screen for some odd reason you can always pop the factory card back in.
