I have two MP5,1 with GTX 680s, never got this artefacts, just the ocasional black block in Finder file lists and rarely near the menu clock.

M mcnallym macrumors 65816 Jan 27, 2019 #8 Zotac 680 4Gb flashed and now problems in 10.4.2 or 10.4.3. Also hooked upto a 24” LED Cinema Display via DisplayPort. Would suspect that more likely your card rather then a generic thing with 680 cards.
