Hi all

I just got a Mac Pro 4.1 2.66 Quad, 12GB DDR3, GT120.

I want to move some parts from my gaming PC to the Mac Pro ( EVO 250GB SSD and GTX 970 )

I know the GTX 970 (with the right power cables) will work in a Mac Pro but im not sure if it works in High Sierra??

I also thought about selling it to buy a flashed card instead. I need to run Windows sometimes for gaming and dont know how to switch to Win10 without boot screen?

Other upgrades I want to do in the future, flash it to 5.1, 6 core cpu, more memory, USB 3.0.

The 970 works fine in High Sierra. You just need to be sure you have the right driver installed.

Sounds good! I just bought the 6 to 8 pin cable.

Should I just download the drivers from nvidias webpage?

GTX 970 does indeed work under HS. Nvidia has released web drivers.

To switch to Windows without a boot screen, go to Startup Disk in System Preferences and pick Windows, then click restart. Alternatively just remember the layout of your boot selection screen
