Guess Mountain Lion's release date

July 17th. Firefox updates to v14 that day... it would be interesting, to say the least, if Safari 6 went stable the same day along with Mountain Lion.

I think that
will probably release mountain lion around 19-29th of July. I think this because of several reasons. Last year, came out with lion on the 20th of July, and since it is a leap year this year, it would be 365 days from Lion if it were released on the 19th.
I think that the 20th and 21st could be possible dates as well, because the days that store workers can not take days off are, I believe the 22nd-29th of July. I imagine will release it a few days before the store employees take can't take their days off because might wait a couple days before selling their product.
I'm saying stores because there is likely to be an iMac update, and possibly iPod and Mac Mini updates, but almost certainly an iMac update.
22nd-24th aren't that good guesses, so I don't have much to talk about there.
25th of July is probably the best guess because the wallstreet journal is releasing the amount of sales and money that apple gained in the April-June quarter. has chosen their date to be July 24th. really likes to boast about their sales, so last year they had their Keynote one day after their quarter report. July 25th is that day, which is only 5 days different from last years release of lion. also said that they were going to have an update for their OS about every year, and during the summer.

What annoys me about the post is that there are large chunks of starkly contrasting symbols thrown into a large portion of text. It puts an emphasis on "Apple" in every sentence which is incorrect for the actual content at hand.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it will be July 10th, my 40th birthday... I should have at least one thing to look forward to!
So my date for the Apple Q3 conference was a bit off, but I still think Mountain Lion won't be released until after the conference. If they follow the same path of Lion, then we'll possibly see Mountain Lion being released the day after the Q3 conference
I think late afternoon July 26 because it's a Thursday and two days after the 3rd Quarter profit announcement.
Reason: it's going to take a looooong time to download for us on super-slow "Premium High Speed 3 mbps DSL" connections (Not a typo. It IS 3 mbps - Thank You Verizon), so releasing it near a weekend would be helpful to many. Also, it allows us to focus on the install and getting back up to speed as quickly as possible - critically important for those who use Macs professionally.
Also, Apple vacation blackouts would coincide with this (July 22-29). Those people will be very busy with a new OS and potentially updated iMacs and ???
