iPad Guess the next iPads name. :)

So as it stands, the iPads are named as such:

iPad
iPad 2
The new iPad
iPad with Retina Display
iPad Air


That's extremely inconsistent to say the least. What will the next iPad be called? Only one of you may guess iPad Pro to keep things fun. ;)

Also.. I can't wait for iPhone 6... the 8th iPhone.

The iPad 3 or The New iPad as you call it, had retina display. I predict the new iPad Air will be called the New iPad Air.
 
iPad Pro, it's inevitable! With touch ID and 8mp camera. also it's going to be lighter, thinner and faster :)

I understand the iPad 3 had a retina display.

But Apple called it "The new iPad", and they called the iPad 4 "iPad with Retina Display".

Seem confusing? I know. Thats the official names though.
 
I'm guessing they'll just keep it iPad Air

2014 iPad lineup:

iPad Mini (1st generation)
iPad 2
iPad Mini with Retina Display (2nd generation)
iPad Air (2nd generation)
iPad Pro

If this happens, I will start to believe the 'Steve wouldn't have allowed this' posts. The whole reason why Apple was failing in the 90s was they had too many products which made it expensive for them and confusing for customers.

I think it should just be:

iPad mini
iPad Air
iPad Pro

With reductions in price for the retina mini. Maybe keep the non-retina mini, however I think 4 product lines should be the absolute maximum.

I agree 100%...apple is showing complacency and are not innovating the iPad, just giving different options.

Seriously though, I think an iPad Pro is in the works. Sucks because I'm due for an iPad upgrade (already sold iPad 2) and want an iPad that can handle the next generation of pro apps. I'm wondering if I should get a smaller storage option iPad Mini Retina with no LTE and sell that for an iPad Pro next year. When it comes to resale, people see a 16GB used iPad for $300 and a 128GB used iPad LTE for $500 and never ever pick the expensive one—even though one is only discounted $100 and the other $330.
 
The Next iPad....

iPad Air Pro

Touch ID
128 gb of memory
Maybe more ram or something else
