Some people are taking this thread too seriously.

While I know the actual name on the box was "iPad" for the 3rd and 4th generations.. on Apple's website they were listed as "The new iPad" and "iPad with Retina Display".

It will be called the New MacBook Air as I speculate that the 64-bit architecture will allow OS X to run and the MBP already is small like the current MBA. I believe the iPad will replace the MBA as soon as it runs OS X or XI. The MBA willl become a tablet.

That's extremely inconsistent to say the least. What will the next iPad be called? Only one of you may guess iPad Pro to keep things fun.
