macOS gui hello world

could someone take me through the steps to write a graphical 'hello world' program. have a book on xcode but it is for tiger.
just wondering how to wrote a gui 'hello world' using x-code, for leopard?

There's one called Learn Cocoa which should get you up and running with Xcode and Interface Builder.
