Guided access mode / kiosk mode

Need some help from. iPad gurus here. I would like to setup my ipad to kiosk like mode with one app running and screen ON 24/7.

Guided access Dora’s exactly what I want with exception screen going to sleep after certain time. I have time limit off. Screen lock OFF in settings.

When not in guided access mode IPad stays on all the time expected.

I there reliable solution to lock iPad in one app with screen on 24/7? I am using it as control panel for hom e automation.

There are apps in the App Store for this. I have no experience. Search for “kiosk”.

After more search it looks like it is a bug in iOS 12. Hopefully it will get fixed soon..
