Let’s hope the GPU configurations allow for two external monitors….pretty big blunder in the current Air. Less functionality than the hardware it replaced…
THIS! For what they'll likely charge for this model, not supporting dual external monitors is just sad. I certainly hope the standard M3 chip gains this support.

There probably hasn't been any leaks because it looks identical to the 13 inch...I wish they would add the option to include a promotion display or at least an illuminated Apple logo, SOMETHING fresh besides the screen size.
Yes they need to have the base that is just a bigger screen. Then have the extras with the higher specs since you are already being gouged for RAM/SSD upgrades.

It’s “gouging” but it’s the standard in the industry. Lenovo wants $400 for an upgrade to 32GB of RAM in the T series line when I checked last week…
Wouldn't be so bad if even on PC laptops they wouldn't make it ridiculous to upgrade if you even can anymore. Used to be a panel. Unscrew open bam RAM and SSD upgraded in less than five mins. Do any manufacturers do that anymore. Even my dad's last desktop didn't have spare cables for a slave drive.

No lol... This is bad for the environment.

If it has M2, no thanks. M3, yes please. I will want it if it has M3.
For awhile there was a much pushed rumor of a M3 15” MBA but then we finally got some comments about TSMC having problems prodicing 3nm Soc’s. There was also the A17 vs M3 which should come first topic which pretty much everyone knows is wholly lopsided to first meet the demand for iPhone 15 models by Sept. But yet some thought the M3 would be announced by WWDC 2023, and then Apple would be selling still the very popular M2 MPA at the same time. Yeah much thought goes into these rumors to hype someones click bait articles. :D

This 15" MacBook Air would be an amazing machine if it supports a 120Hz Pro-Motion Display.
It would but it won't. They need to create a large enough gap to justify the Pro machine - this feature helps create that gap. I will tell you that fo 99% of the folks, this makes no difference. I have the 13" M2 Air and a16" MBP M1 and I can't really tell much difference other than size.
It would be but likely will not. It'll probably be stuck with a lousy 2 tb ports, as well.
Again, for the use case of this machine and to create the gap between a pro machine, this is all it will get and really all that is needed. We are lucky we got magsafe AND 2 ports this time.

nope...since we will get the M2 and not the M2 pro etc
So we know almost everything...but the pixel count and the battery life

OMG that's a lot of inches!
certainly more than 14 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ – ✧)
Speaking of that one of the reasons that 14.2” MBPs and the 13.6” M2 MBA is they both work better for people riding in tighter spaces in busses, trains and planes traveling. The larger 16.2” MBP and the mythical M2 15.5” MBA both are somewhat harder to use in the same commuting situation.

If it doesn't I will be deeply disappointed. Working on other peoples' Macs with 60Hz displays now feels to me like the display is broken. It's like watching it move in slow motion. On a 15" display the effect would be even worse.

I want the 13" MBA… but I am not going to buy the one year old M2 in June 2023. I'll wait for the M3 generation.

Also if you take the laptop to work in lots of different places, it's easier to clear a space for a 14" than a 16".

I've heard it called HSS, Horizontal Surface Syndrome. All horizontal surface must be covered in random objects.

I’m trying to figure out the roadmap here. If this is true, the air will gain two inches and the MacBook Pro is 14 inch. The difference between the air and the pro will be an inch apart.

If someone can provide some insight, it would help.

99% sure is going to have two ports, plus MagSafe. 99% sure t is not going to be ProMotion. 95% sure it will not support more than one external monitor (natively). I'm slightly less sure if it will be a 8/256 base or if they bump that up. Also unsure of the price although $1399/$1499 seems to be the price point if they don't increase the base ram/storage. What gives me slight hesitation to be more sure is I do think there is going to be an outside chance it may include a new M2 derivative package. Like maybe a version that includes 12GB instead of 8GB, or even support for more than one external display etc.

It seemed thru numerous posts that the most desirable feature of this rumor was fan-less low weight with longer life batteries. But going to larger display with M2, just means something has to give. Yes larger displays consume more power, so the batteries would weight more.
