Guess I was kinda vague here... and yes you are right, the M2 really does not have much of a use against aircraft but I was trying to show how it might be used as one, or at least trying to talk about how the M2 is not a weapon to be dismissed as "no threat because it wasn't set up right."
And I thought that there was a photo of the stand the M2 was mounted on, or was that something else? In either case, it would only take a few bullets to do major damage. Even if the spray went wild, you can still kill someone easily with that thing! Thing of the crazies who shoot randomly into crowds with pistols. They can still do damage and kill. And sure, they also can aim easier but they cannot penetrate a car door.
In the end, I think that we are both kinda right. It is sometimes hard to explain what you mean via the Internet...
