Hi Guys,

I am planning to upgrade to X. I am a runner and plan to run with it.

I dont like to use belts or armbands. I used 7 and 8 with a case earlier in the runs with no problem.

Please let me know if its a hassle to keep the X in the pocket during the runs ?

Depending on your pockets, the X is heavier than the 7 (not sure about the 8). If you have looser pockets, the jiggling around can be distracting.

I run with my Xs. When it's cold, I wear a jacket that has a small chest pocket that the Xs fits in nice and snug. No bouncing around. In the warm weather, I have to put it in my pants pocket. I avoid wearing my basketball type shorts because the phone bounces around too much.

Should be no problem since the iPhone X is about the same size as the 7 & 8.
I wouldn’t base it off size as much as I would weight, which seems to be more of a differential with the X

The X weighs 177 Grams (6.24 ounces)

The (4.7) 7 weighs 138 Grams (4.87 ounces)

The (4.7) 8 weighs 148 Grams (5.22 ounces)

I held my plus size phone in my hand with an iRing for a half marathon. I am not a guy though and I know you asked guys.

Yes, IPhone XS, 4 times a week. It’s easy.

Then again, I’m old enough that I used run with this:

WoW, Thanks Man.. The world is a lighter place now ;)

Don't totally write-off armbands.

I too am not a fan of armband and belts, but really like this one and have been using it over half a year now. Simple Lycra sleeve with a zipper pouch for the phone.

But otherwise, will echo others re: X/Xs roughly same size as 6/7/8, and should not see any difference.
that looks nice..

Okay I will probably go with X now :)

I’m in the gym frequently, and I see armbands all the time for smart phones. Even though they look awkward, I still think it’s a logical alternative that secures the phone away from your pockets Without falling down when laying on a bench, or a weight/dumbbell coming into contact with it inadvertently. I see quite a few weightlifters who wear armbands with their phone secured, and it never really seems to be obtrusive with their exercises.
