H.265 on iMac?

Can the 2017 iMac play back H.265 videos created by the iPhone/GoPro/DJI Mavic natively?
Ive heard that even the max spec stutters and cannot play back H.265 via Quicktime?
Can anyone test?

It plays h.265 iphone video natively no problem. I don't have experience with gopro or DJI footage, but I would expect it to be fine.
