Thanks for the link.

I think I'm rapidly reaching the point where I need to decide if I want to pay for this one... I really like it on my iMac. It's only $6.85.... which isn't that much. But I do want to trial it out for a while longer to see if I get sick of it.

Isn't the simulated right-click available in Tiger?

The right click can be enabled by:
System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Trackpad Gestures -> Place 2 buttons and click button for secondary click.

Not on all machines, only seems to be Intel machines, (even MBP 15" after 10.4.7). Since the OP was asking for a PowerBook, I think this means they want to know a solution to help them with their model.

Talk about thread revival, but this came up during a Google search and was the most relevant post... does anyone have an idea these days on how to use two fingers to right-click on a PowerBook G4?

Which PBG4? I assume that you understand, from the earlier part of the thread, that there is a solution for PBG4's from before the switchover of the trackpad, but not from after. Which do you have?

From my understanding—one of the developers of one of the above-mentioned apps mentioned this—it's a patent-issue. Apple has *patented* the two-fingered right-click and no-one wants to risk infringing on it. Other than that, it's supposed to be quite easy to fix, I guess someone will just have to take that first step... ah yes, it's mentioned on this page.

There's a part of me that wonders how hard it'll be to hack one together myself...I'd probably succeed long before I can afford another Mac laptop. ;)

hmm... okay, so then are there any other options on getting the two finger right click? something that would work on my PB?

Yes, but I'm afraid you would need Leopard on your PB. I have a 12" 1.5GHz PB and two finger right clicks works great under Leopard.
