The Dell mini 10v is a popular netbook because of how easy it is to load OSX on it. Atom based computers however are sloooowwww

slow ..hmm that depends what your needs are , for general surfing, youtube up to 720p , movies (avi/divx) , emailing , office,i even tried to rip a dvd with a external dvd rw and it worked fine , ok thats about the limit of a msi wind with single core atom , but it does the job , ok gaming is hmm not realy a task i would throw towards a netbook due to screen size , but even that is possible to a certain extend , sure you wont get crysis to work at highest settings , but thats anyway not what a netbook was build for ,or nettops , but these are the easiest to install osx on as most parts inside are the same as in earlier intel Mac mini's (single core 1.5ghz and dual core 1.66ghz )apart from the processor which is a atom ( single core 1.6 and dual core 1.66 )with similar performance

the main problem is to either
selfbuild a hackintosh from scratch by sourcing all the parts that might work under OSX , which is the easiest option if you want a desktop

or buying a desktop pc and hope most internal parts work is the other option , as its tricky to find clear answers to the question will this pc from ??? manufacturer work under osx as it has to have basically the same parts inside as the above self build option

and it does not have to be a intel processor , AMD's work as well ,only difference
under about this mac you will find "processor unknown x.xx ghz"

Well i don't know if its legal or illegal, but my 'old' P4 desktop with 2gb ram, an 512MB ATI Radeon HD and TV Card is fully 10.5.8 compatible and i'm happy with it, of course its better to get the real thing, but the real thing costs a lot, and here in Greece the support from Apple is really limited so we have a lot of people using hackintoshs, netbooks like msi u100/advent 4211/dell mini etc are everywehere ready with os x, the fun part with hackintosh is that you go deep inside os x and its powerfull terminal, you learn a lot by creating scripts, its fun :)
