I have an 3 year old MB that is starting to show its age. I still use it and will continue for as long as it is working well. However, I fear that a major problem might show up and want to have a backup. I think a hackintosh netbook could be my answer but I recently read that the Snow Leopard update 10.6.2 isn't compatible with the Intel Atom processor which most netbooks use. I know there is netbooks that use other processors but I haven't found one yet. Any suggestions?

A few hours after 10.6.2 was released, a fix for the atom was available. Search places like insanelymac or mydellmini for the fix.

BTW, I moved from a 3yo MB to an Asus netbook and decided to run Windows 7 on it instead of a hackintosh. Its been a refreshing change but the form factor does have a few drawbacks so be warned.
