O.K., why is it when I import any audio files into GB they play slower than in iTunes or any other player. It changes pitch and tempo. Help....please?

How can I check/fix?

I believe GarageBand uses 44.1khz, you need to downsample your files to that beforehand.

If your trying to use GarageBand to edit the files I recommend you use Fission or Audacity instead.

You can also adjust the tempo of 'real music' files in GB by pressing something like Command control and K. Or Command control and G. There might be a shift involved too. :D  I cant remember the exact combo but your 'real instruments' should turn purple then you can edit the tempo and pitch while not affecting the rest of the track/song.

However adjusting the sample rate may be easier. ;)

You're right, I adjusted the sample rate using Soundtrack Pro and re-imported the file into Garageband and it worked perfectly. Thanks again! :D
