Had to restore phone. Recover iMessages?

As the title states, I had to restore my iPhone to a backup that was created four days ago. I'm signed into Messages on my Mac and all of the messages for the past four days are on there.

Is there any way to sync up the Messages on my phone with those that are on my Mac? I'm aware of this new Continuity thing but don't fully understand it yet.
