Had to set up new phone trying to get iMessages from Mac back on iPhone

So long story short, 7.0.3 removed animations when you open folders from those who put on restrict animations. This wasn't well communicated. On top of that I was having issues with mail and restoring from backup.... so I called apple and the guy determined that my backup file was corrupt. Which I figured out too late, wasn't the issue. So basically I set up my phone as new, which isn't that bad, it a way it was like spring cleaning.

There is one thing that I have lost that is important, that is my iMessage history. These are on my Mac, is there a way to get them back on the phone?

Yeah, I am also getting a Samsung because Cook didn't mention this during one of his keynotes.

It wouldn't have been mentioned in the Keynote, this came after in the most recent update. Did you loose everything then?
