You actually think service is going to be better on Verizon ?

I can't wait for the iPhone to move to Verizon and then sit back and watch everyone complain about how bad verizon is, or how expensive verizon is, or whatever.

Me too :D I will say this, however. I have not had dropped call issues with AT&T (before that Cingular) since I came over from SprintPCS in 2006. So getting the iPhone in 2007 was a "no-brainer" as was upgrading to an iPhone 4 last week.

I often wonder whether Verizon really wants an iPhone--boy I bet all their mifi customers will throw fits if they cannot handle the traffic.

 Is it still funny if I'm happy w/ ATT, or rather, I know I won't be any happier w/ Verizon, and wouldn't have switched even if I knew last week?

+1
I was a loyal Verizon customer for years before making the move last year for the 3GS. No more waiting for me! And surprise, surprise, I really have had no problems with AT&T's network. I'm happy and enjoying my iPhone 4 NOW!! :D

Considering I use to be with att and now have been with Verizon for 6 years yes. Even though their service might of improved it does not surpass Verizon in my eyes.

im pretty sure it was on this site that some Verizon executive said that there not focusing on the iphone but on droid. and now they have these rumors like every 30 seconds and everyone goes haha and there not true. even if the contract with att is up that doesn't mean it will go to Verizon, they have to go through many and various negotiations. apple has to make a new handset and for them it might be easier to go to t-mobile or another sim using carrier.

Don't be mad because you renwed you contracts with a company that has a insane early term fee and ****** service.

Verizon's Advanced Device (read: smartphone) ETF is $350, idiot.

(AT&T's is $325 - $10 for each full month of service)

"... in my eyes."

exactly.

LOL where is the love :D I see apple people are just stuck up people like Bill gates himself. Oh well I go through life with a open mind and not stuck up like some people here. I was just posting info. :p:D Oh well

LOL, what a dork. bigaudiofanatic = FAIL

LOL ok,

Bloomberg isn't some random blog. They wouldn't have ran this article if they didn't know it was true. Certainly, things can change, but barring journalistic malfeasance by an organization that should know better, this announcement is one you can bank on.

I think you misunderstand....I, like many others don't care. Your attempt at stirring up negative emotions regarding the issue has failed. I already have Verizon for my business cell, and I prefer AT&T. So....sorry to burst your bubble. I am, however, happy as pie for it to be true. It can only have a positive effect on AT&T's bandwidth.

Do a search. Bloomberg had published at least 5 iPhone coming to Verizon rumor stories.

Wasn't it the Wall Street Journal that posted iPhone coming to Verizon this year?

I'm not. I'll sell my phone for enough that it will cover the cost of the phone + ETF. IF Verizon even gets the iPhone.

I don't believe Verizon will ever get the iPhone, but if they were to get it, there will be thousands of iPhones on ebay. Getting enough money to pay off the ETF would be a tough sell.

Although I'm not saying it will happen in January, I'm going to laugh in your face when it happens.

just like saying Apple will NEVER go Intel.

Well common sense and just paying attention shows that every year there is a rumor about the iPhone. If you listen to those rumors then Everyone from Verizon to sprint should have had the iPhone about 2 or 3 Years ago.

So each year..its rumor..rumor..rumor then WWDC then iPhone only on AT&T. First reason why this is a rumor is because Apple doesn't ever launch the iPhone in Jan they never have it's always been in the spring.

Now Verizon could get the iPhone but it won't be branded and be repaired in store. If you know the history of the iPhone you will remember that Verizon wanted to brand the iPhone the way they do their others.

That may seem unimportant but that's a requirement for Apple that the device have no mention of a carrier anywhere on the exterior and no preinstalled Software

So they could get or they couldn't but untill i see proof other than some overpaid puff piece i won't believe it.

Trust but verify works for me not items of fiction

Hey OP everyone has different wants and needs. Like for example your wanting to act 8 yrs old on this thread.

I live in a metro area of around 3 million, I was Verizon switched to AT&T, no dropped calls, 3G is fast and I would never switch back, end of story.

damn is this is true, i will be a littlle mad AT MYSELF

i took the risk, i figured with the huge Driod push at Verizon, that Iphone was kinda not going there.

I guessed wrong it seems.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-...ffering-iphone-ending-at-t-s-exclusivity.html

So far the Iphone is the most incredible electronic device i have ever owned. But i have had at least 10-15 dropped calls in less than a week, and i am a low volume caller. I cannot honestly recall my last Verizon dropped call in 8 years..

Not at all. Especially if you consider A) the prorated ETF will bring the cost down to $265 by January and B) most likely there will be an unlock for the iPhone 4 and that ALWAYS increases it's value on eBay/Craigslist.

Common sense tells you that if you assume Apple ALWAYS does things the same way every time, we would have an iPhone launch on Thursday, we wouldn't have an iPad, and we wouldn't have Intel processors.

ANYTHING is possible.

I used to be with Verizon, now I'm on AT&T. I actually prefer it. Hope your little troll-thread is making you feel better about not having an iPhone 4 :)

What's the big deal. It comes to verizon and you want the phone, go to verizon.

My ETF is only $325 I believe. Just pay it and move on.
