I have a hairline crack on the edge of my device, noticeable, but not on the screen itself.

Will AT&T accept this as ‘good condition’ when returning through AT&T next?

Nobody here with factual certainty (because exceptions can be made at times (or not) can say whether or not AT&T will accept (or deny) your trade in due to said damage. You need to ask AT&T.

I feel like going to an AT&T store is as good a guess as anyone else. I think I'll take my chances with sending it in when the new phone arrives.

I would pay it off. Odds are you could sell it for more than the difference of Att next payoff and paying off phone fully.

Another option is seeing how much Apple will repair it/replace it for. I had a hairline crack by the headphone jack that the genius bar said was due to faulty phone production. They swapped it out and my att next plan updated to that phone.

Reactions: Newtons Apple
I would suggest returning or making an upgrade in-store, on more than one occasion they let it pass. However that may or not be the case when mailing it in.

Im an employee for AT&T. If you take it to the store, your trade-in will be denied. One of the questions we have to answer for the trade in is if there is any cracks in the LCD/LED screen. In your case, we would have to answer yes and the trade will be denied.

I had a barely noticeable crack across the top corner of my 6 plus. It wasn’t over the lcd, but they wouldn’t accept it for a NEXT trade-in. I’d just sell it on eBay or hang onto it as s spare.
