Earlier tonight I was at my aunt's friend, Jen's house, along with my gf and our friends/family members. She is very artistic and likes to do really crazy and thought out things.. This year was a front yard filled with Classic horror characters. Kelly (gf) was the girl from the exorcist (she looked really scary, Jen did a crazy latex makeup job -- to the point where I refused to kiss her with my eyes open.. and for all of you that are creeped out by the movie, you'll understand why) I was Freddy, and we also had a friend as the little girl from Poltergeist along with an old console TV on snow and she would say "They're here!" everytime someone came to the yard. Their cousin was Leatherface and brought his chainsaw and just took the chain off it. Also Jen's husband was Jason. I think I had the most fun because the kid's seemed to be most scared of me, and the adults were pretty creeped out at Kelly being the exorcist chick.. It just goes to show the impact movies have on a generation. I didn't dare scare small children, but the 10-12 year olds who would come up to me saying they would fight me were the ones that ended up running down the block. :D

I had fun ;)

That sounds like a good idea. What kind of sign did you use? In our neighborhood the person just turns on their porch light. Will be interested to hear how it goes.

Actually it was the apartment management that put out a notice a week ago with a sign to put up on the door (a simple picture of children Trick or Treating with the words "Trick or Treat" on it), if one wanted to welcome Trick or Treaters. Along with requests that Trick or Treating be limited to the hours of 6PM to 8PM. Better than last year with "kids" showing up at 10PM looking for candy.

Some people at work wore custumes today which was nice. After work
I waited for some trick or treaters but only two came to the door. There aren't that many kids in my immediate neighborhood. I will give away the leftover candy tomorrow...

I was going to do something. But I didn't. There isn't any more to that story.

Had to work late anyway. No one really dressed up that I could see, but some brought their kids later in the day. Everybody had candy at their desks, so it was almost like I was trick or treating. Whenever I'd help somebody they'd offer me candy. Too much chocolate. Right now I'm just watching an old movie from the 30's. White Zombie with Bela Lugosi.

We had a crop of little ghoulies come to the door - mostly with parents.

Our son dressed up to hand out candy -- the lights were off and just a twin line of christmas lights leading up to a jack o'lantern, and then the door is answered....

Hmm, I just worked, but I wasn't plannin on doin anythin' anyways. I'm dissapointed in my neighborhood. No one goes trick or treatin anymore (but more leftover candy for me :D ) I didn't see any signs of Halloween when I came back home. No eggs, shaving cream, toilet paper, no where? Haha, I dunno if that's a good thing or not. But I remember when I was younger, the scene of Halloween outside, was distinctive.

Aww, nothing crazy for me this year...

Chilled at home w/ the boyfriend watching season four of Alias and then went out and got an original Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut before coming home and watching another episode of Alias. :p I feel old and boring.

That used to be the ritual at my parents house years ago. We would have the lights on for several hours and then when the trick-or-treaters dwindled the porch light would go out.

In the last few years the amount of trick-or-treaters has drastically dwindled to almost nothing in my parents neighborhood.

My goodness. If you've lost where, here is certainly next. Hold on to the Being of your being while you can ...

So my favorite trick-or-treater last night was a little boy who, when he saw that I was handing him some Tootsie Rolls, got a sad look on his face and protested, "But I don't want Tootsie Rolls!".

His Dad, standing a few feet back, was so embarassed and started getting on to the kid, but I just laughed and held the basket of candy down to his level so that he could pick out something that he wanted. For the curious, I think he settled on a little box of "Dots" gumdrops.

If the kid had been any older (and had known better) I probably would have gotten ticked off, but this was just a little guy who knows what he wants. I can appreciate a kid who demands excellence in his trick-or-treat candy. :D

No one came to our apartment building...Would have been nice to hand out some candy.

Instead I watched a few horror flicks.

drank a little bit, went to a hookah cafe (why change the daily routine just for halloween?), went to hollywood and drove down hollywood blvd and sunset blvd for a while, stared at amazingly hot girls wearing barely anything. ahhhh to live and die in LA

I had a party at my house, costume required. It was fun, seeing 20 somethings show up dressed as demons, witches, flappers, all sorts of neat stuff.

My brother's girlfriend dressed up as Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill...it was great!

My costume was pretty intense...some sort of screaming-with-evil-laughter-skull mask, with a hooded cloak that dragged the floor.

Earlier in the day, I went to my great grandma's for her birthday. My 7 yr. old cousin was there, and he brought his Darth Vader costume. I had my costume in the trunk of my car, so we dressed up and took some pictures.

His costume came with a little telescoping plastic lightsaber.

I took the photos we shot into PS and painted a real lightsaber in, to have printed and framed, for his Christmas present from me.

Good times:
