My 10 Day old Pro Max. I plugged it into the charger and I shut it down. I usually shut my phone down and give it a hard restart every week. When I turned it back on I got this message and I can NOT make it go away. I tried Siri and the back tap for home. I've been fondling, tapping and swiping furiously for 20 minutes and I have an expensive brick.
Any suggestions?

Solved:
Apple helped me by phone. I was able to swipe down from the lock screen and get to Control Center. Turning Bluetooth OFF cured it immediately. I then upgraded to IOS 14.2.1.
Disaster averted! The Blue Max lives!

Same issue occurred on my Dad's phone in the last 24hours. Applying 14.2.1 did not resolve, in fact it caused the brick screen on rebooting after applying update.

Did apple do something server side in the last 24hours?

Have seen a report of this on apple discussions too that started in the last day.

Turning bluetooth off in control center is at least a viable workaround. I actually put it in airplane mode before that with no luck and switching off bluetooth did not even occur to me.

I would just like to add to this thread that I could not get past the error screen at all until I used Siri to turn off Bluetooth, then Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings and it seems to be fixed now.
