I know this is nothing special. Took these last night. It was a full moon, 2 second exposure wide open at 1600 ISO, hand held. The sky appeard black to the naked eye. Had some post processing. D70s kit lens. Shot as low quality jpegs.

Pretty, evocative shots, dogbone. They're just eerie enough to make me forget that summer is on it's way in the States!

I like the 2nd photo. The branches do seem sorta in focus, but all the clouds are a blur. They must have been moving that night, no?

Thanks for the comments Abstract and theDude.

Yes the clouds were moving along at a rapid clip. I mainly put these up to encourage others to give moonlight shots a go. I was really surprised, I expected a completely black image which is why I had the quality set low. I took some other shots as well with more of the trees and after a little bit of post processing they looked like bright daylight which sort of defeated the purpose.
