After watching WWDC 2020 on Monday I have got really excited with so many of the new features across all of apples devices. Having owned an Apple Watch since the original device coming out it has become a very important accessory for me on a daily basis using it tracking my activity such as walking, heart rate etc and ecg. Seeing the demo of hand washing is another great feature I’ll make use of and enjoy but it seems that it isn’t yet activated in the first beta, please correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve been keeping an eye on my watch every time I wash my hands but nothing happens. Ah well it’ll give us something to look forward to in the very near future. If nothing I’ve washed my hands more testing this out and that can’t be a bad thing lol. Really like that it’s actually listening for the water running along with the hand motions to identify you’re actually washing your hands.

I've said it before and I'll say it here too - this feature is going to be released when hand washing (while still will be very important) will be less of an issue.

If they wanted to be a watch that can "coach you to wash your hands", they should have released it as an update to watchOS 6, so that people can take advantage of it NOW, when it is needed!

Not that we can't wash our hands without being timed though.
