Does anyone actually use this to monitor how long they wash their hands for. I have found it to be worthless and inaccurate when it comes to consistently running when I wash my hands.

I haven't figured out what triggers it. Sometimes it never triggers, sometimes immediately, other times only after 10 seconds or so. Do find it useful since I never washed for a full 20 seconds. Forces me to do it.

I learned in the men's room that you don't actually have to wash at all. You can just walk out when done.

However, no, I don't use a timer, just sing a tune as I thoroughly wash.

There's no point washing them in the men's room anyway as you still end up getting them dirty when trying to get out. Unless you're like me and try to open said door with the front of your foot while balancing on the other leg in some sort of unflattering pose.

I do still have it on as a prompt as it's quite easy to fall back in to the habit of a quick rinse. It's the feedback pop up I find most annoying when it thinks you haven't done it

I use it when it's accurate i.e. it kicks in straight away or after a few seconds it starts a few seconds in. Sometimes it takes ages to start and I can't be bothered then

At work, I push the door open with my elbow.

Also, I’ve now gotten both credit and scolded for things like putting on my socks or washing dishes. The dishes kinda make sense.

Mine wasn't working for a while. I found on another thread how to reset it. I toggled anything to do with handwashing off then on again. Both in phone and watch settings.
Now it works again. It actually works differently too now.
Now, it shows the microphone active by encircling the time in an orange bubble. It'll even prompt me now when I don't wash for a full 20sec, whether it was a "quick rinse" or an accidental trip.
We'll see how long it stays working this time.

I have a mental list of those folks.
The "don't shake hands and don't borrow pens" list.

I tried the toggling off too, didn't help. I guess I could try again.

Also worthless for me. I have infrared end of faucet (tap) and AW7 was not able to detect that I started washing my hands even when I did everything for 3 minutes (open water - take soap from Infrared soap dispenser - wash - open water).

Disabling also saves some power - for me it was noticeable.
