Handbrake cropping for a noob

Hi, could somebody explain about cropping on handbrake a little better and possibly post the settings that they use??

HB's auto crop is extremely good. I use HB a fair amount and rarely if ever have needed to custom crop.

You really only use it a fair amount ?😱 everything I've learned is probably from reading all your posts from here and at the handbrake forums😉
