Hey guys, I tried ripping my DVDs onto my macbook and I keep getting a msg saying that it needs 64-bit VLC to rip the dvd? So I go to the link and on the VLC media player download section it says: Note: VLC will not be available for 64-bits Intel-based Macs until further notice. You can safely use the 32-bits package instead.

so what do i do? I can't rip dvds..

You could try an earlier Handbrake version that does't require 64-bit VLC, or you could rip the movie with MacTheRipper first, and the use your Handbrake version to encode the movie.

Handbrake does need VLC to circumvent the copy protection schemes on DVDs to properly encode its contents, so MacTheRipper will circumvent that need.
