Hello,

Handbrake doesn't seem to work for me any longer.

I am running OSX 10.8.2 with handbrake v 0.9.8 x86_64 and VLC Media player v 2.0.3 64bit.

Handbrake just says the encode is done after creating a tiny movie file.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

r.

having any probs with your optical drive? reason for asking handbrake/ripit/ toast titanium all started crashing on me after a few minutes of any o drive involvement.

found out my drive had gone bad! after replacing it with a new ext. drive every app works perfectly.

so there are no issues with the current handbrake versions and most dvd's?

to people find that some dvd's just don't encode easily?

thanks,
r.

no, handbrake and all other burning/ripping apps are working perfectly for me now no matter what dvd i rip/copy

have you tested the reliability of your optical drive?

i just tried another computer and it didn't work on handbrake, then i googled it and it had something to do with sony copy protection. i tried DVDFAB decrypter and it worked,, though with a watermark...

surprised that handbrake doesn't handle these dvd's...

For those DVDs that don't work with the Handbrake/VLC combo, I've had success using MakeMKV to create an .mkv file and then using Handbrake to convert that to .m4v
