Handbrake presets Apple TV and PS3

Wandered if anyone knew an answer to this

Does anyone know what is so special about the universal preset in handbrake,

i mean i use hte universal and set it to 2500 kbps and it plays on my iphone just fine,

but if i use a 2500 kbps file from the PS3 preset it wont work
is there something i can add so my ps3 preset movies will play on the iphone and also the PS3?
