Hi, wondering if someone can help with this
1. On some DVDs, when I go to handbrake and put in English subtitle it asks for Default/Forced option and also which type of subtitle to I want. Does anyone know the difference?

2. Can you HB the commentaries version of a show (so you hear the director or someone else discussing it)? Can't figure out how to do this.

Thanks

I am not familiar with subtitles, but for the second question, You can put the dvd in your computer and find out what track the commentary version is on the dvd and then you can choose the rip that track in handbrake

When I do subtitles, I only ever choose the Closed Captions option if available. I think that is the right one. Otherwise it burns the subtitles onto the video track. Whereas the CC allows you to turn it on and off on your Mac, iOS or Apple TV. The CC also puts it at the bottom in a very Apple-esque that is very nice.
