I guess Handbrake used to allow you to set the output file size, but not anymore. I use the ATV3 preset and some blurays come out too large to put on a FAT HDD for use on a PS3. I want to keep using the preset for use on my ATV, but I have a few that I want to convert to 4GB or under to put on the FAT HDD. Whats the best/easiest way to shrink some of these M4V files to a smaller size?

raise the rf (lower the quality) a bit. its a logarithmic scale which means going from the presets 20 to 21 (I personally use 22) for blu ray will reduce the file size considerably.

Ok, thanks. I was wondering about that, I just had no idea where to set it. I'll play around with it and see what I get.

I was wondering the same thing. I convert my movies from mkv to mp4 using the Apple TV setting to transfer to my playstation 3 but the file is like 8 to 12 gb my 32 gb USB says there not enough space to transfer. jjk454ss The rf setting is right on the main screen just slide it over.
