Handbrake

How do you install Handbrake not sure if i am doing something wrong

I downloaded the dmg file and clicked on it which opened a ejectable disk and a box with 2 files bin folder and the app file. if i drag it to launchpad if goes in fine but then if i eject the disc on my desktop i just get a question mark on it in launchpad. is there any way of doing a proper install of it

Drag the handbrake app to the Applications folder and you should be all set.
