handoff on iPhone in ios 11

have they changed handoff in iOS 11 on the iPhone (know its in the dock on the iPad) ? i no longer get the symbol of the app in the bottom left of the lockscreen. Now if i unlock the phone and double click the home button to bring up the running apps and there a banner at the bottom which seems to be for handoff

Same for me. No icon on the lock screen, only the banner and multi-tasking view.

When I use the iPhone I do get the handoff icons on the iPad.
