Handoff? Or something else?

I have HANDOFF turned OFF on my iPhone 7. Yet, when I open Safari on my MacBook Pro, the websites I've gone to on the iPhone are showing up in History in the Safari web browser. Is there something else at play here? Is it NOT Handoff that controls that? I'd rather the two aren't syncing any web browsing, if possible.

Also, under Settings, Message, Text Message Forwarding, the 'old' iPhone 6S is showing up as an Option, along with the MacBook Pro. Is there a way to delete it?

There's a Safari option under iCloud settings as well as Keychain, all of which can allow for data to be shared when the same Apple ID is being used.

changing your apple id password clears it apparently
