Hey Guys,

I finally updated all my devices (iPhone and iPad) to iOS 8.0.2, it's cool! I can use handoff to make phone calls from my iPad, and everything "hands off" pretty well between the devices.

However, I thought I read you should be able to send text messages (SMS) as well, and that Messages would be handed off between iPad and iPhone?

Has anyone got this working successfully?

Thanks in advance!

(I think you mean 8.1) Mine wasn't working when I did the update, but once I signed out of iMessage and Facetime on both the iPad and the iPhone and then signed back in everything worked.

So you can SMS (Text message)? Not to be confused with iMessaging other Apple devices?

I can receive phone calls, Facetimes, and iMessages on my iPad....but not text's (SMS) to friend's who have Android devices for example.

The feature is not available in 8.0.2. I *think* it's available in the 8.1b2, but not entirely sure.
