I like a lot the new apple classical music app. But, I would have preferred that app to be incorporated into the regular music app.
I guess I'm coming into this from an odd angle -- I don't have much I've purchased from the Apple Music store, because of the @#!!^%@! metadata issues, and I never got into streaming at all, which always devolved algorithmically into "how many times in a given hour do you hear Pachelbel's Canon in D?" My music library is pretty much entirely ripped CDs, lots of 'em, controlled from a headless music server using the Remote app and sent to HomePod OGs. All that logging into Apple Music did for me, until last week, was to clot up the "composer" tag listing into complete uselessness, so I stayed out of that world more or less permanently.

So I'm trying out various things to see how to best make use of the new app. I'm about halfway through the introductory podcasts, but I'm still not in the streaming groove yet. We'll see what groove I settle into over the next year or so.

Am I the only one who has the app crash when just left open in the background? It won’t play anything unless I close and reopen it.

Try it…………you’ll like it

Cleverly designed
Has bells and whistles
It’s really done well

At the least, this should be rolled out to ATV, iPad, and MacOS platforms. At the most, Apple Music could take some design cues from Apple Classical. It's just that much cleaner, clearer, smoother, and more friendly to navigate. It encourages musical exploration, which is what Spotify does very well.
