Great video - the overheating issue certainly needs to be addressed in future versions.
Just got to the end of the video.

melting cheese at 91 temp … and only a few minutes of 4K recording before overheat power off protection occurs … like what’s the point?
> First big 3rd party accessory some silicon bumper to help dissipate the heat making it easy to hold. ;)

I have this camera. Especially in Europe where there is an temperature limit, overheating happens quicker.
If you are looking for an action camera, this is not it. Its not durable enough against drops and because of the overheating its also not a device you can click on something and continously record for an hour. (Unless you want 1080p but no one wants that)
Having said that, If you are a person who shoots short clips and doesnt do extreme sports, this a an awesome device. Love the footage quality and horizon lock works great.
I used this with the necklace on my bike, was a windy day (temp 10 degrees celsius) and I easily got to 15 minutes continously recording at 4k60pfs with horizon lock enabled before me arriving at my destination and turning the device off.
At home on a desk (no airflow) I got to 7:40 minutes before overheating on that setting. (Also like i said, max temp setting is lower in europe so if you live elsewhere performance will be better)
Anyways reason I kept it is because I realised I basically never film for more than 5 minutes straight and I dont do extreme sports. Also this forces me to chose my moments instead of continuously recording and not wanting to edit it because the footage is too long to go through xD.
Some other stuff I noticed: voice commands work well. And buying extra magnetic mounts is still really expensive even on aliexpress. Internal battery on 4k60 and horizonlock will probably get you to around 25-30 minutes batterylife. But you can always click it on the module to charge it up between shots or just shoot with the module attached.
And transfering files from internal storage to iphone is kinda slow. I get around 24mb/s
pricewise I wouldnt spend more than 250-300 dollars for it. (Dual screen version) The battery version was discounted to 220 dollars here the other day which i think is a great price.

I have had it a while now an actually quite like it. The temperature thing is overblown. There is no need to place the camera in a desk and record at 4k120 long periods of time - it would make for boring slow-mo footage!
When you tone down settings that are not needed - so turn EIS off if not needed for instance - it lasts longer - this is exactly what GoPro have done - they simply created a new mode that switches off GPS and EIS, called it Tripod Mode, and that was their 'fix' for overheating issues. It's not a fix - its a workaround. There is a lot of power in these chips, packed into a very small physical frame.

So when used outside with some airflow for instance, Ive had no issues whatsoever. It hasn't ever overheated on me at all when used outside....
