The pixel has a new soon feature. I don't think it will be as good as optical but wevwill have to wait and see.

Yes, I'm anxious to learn about it, but I don't see how it'll compete with optical zoom.

Some of you iHuggers need to put down the iKool-Aid. You're iDrunk.

Agreed. It's like ois and eis. Ois will almost always be better. Although I must admit, the first pixel only had eis and it shocked me how good it was at stabilization. Even better than phones with ois.

Well you can see 10 icons on my home screen. I actually have 17 icons, 7 icons are just hidden and can be accessed by a simple swipe up on the Google Photos icon for example.
This is the type of functionality that simply doesn't exist with iphones.

It's not what you see is how it looks, how everything is arranged.
Also I'm using Nova Launcher which enables me to use a bunch of different gestures like Swipe Up, Down, Double Tap,Double Tap Swipe Up/Down, Swipe up/down(two fingers) so that empty space is actually useful and used for something which is obliviously something you can't even begin to grasp.

It does make a huge difference. The thing is I can choose to place my icons at the top as well if I wanted to but it never occurred to me to actually do it because they are way harder to reach that way. This is why on almost all Android home screen icons are at the bottom, because they are way easier to reach that's why people actuality choose to place them there. Simple logic.

First icons look in a certain way, have a certain size, are all placed at the bottom and lack labels, you can't replicate that. The grid is also different.
Then it's the widget which again can't be replicated on iphones. I don't see what's the problem that is also shows the battery percentage and the time, I'm using it for the weather/date info. Also It's not like I'm limited to that specific widget in any way so complaining about it makes no sense whatsoever.
Then it's the app drawer which hides most of the apps I don't need on my home screen and arranges them in an alphabetical order, then it's Nova Prime's function of hiding a folder behind an single app icon(one tap opens the app one swipe opens the folder).
Was this enlightening enough for you?
It’s funny how you act like I couldn’t even comprehend those features. You’re obviously very proud of what you made and that’s awesome! I don’t see the need for them myself. I’d like Apple to make a live weather icon and give us the ability to place icons on the bottom part of the grid instead of the top. The labels don’t bother me but I guess it’d be fine if they removed them. The app drawer is something I’ve always considered overrated but I’m glad you enjoy it. If I need to quickly access an app, I just swipe down and search for it. Finally, I wasn’t “complaining” about the widget. I was just pointing out that it didn’t offer any extra functionality over the iPhone and duplicating information on the home screen would bother me personally.

Well it is the first time you heard of them and you obviously couldn't imagine that there is more to my set up than you could see.

Of course I'm proud of my setup, it's something I created myself. My phone's home screen looks exactly like I want it to look and it's not like on iOS there is a choice to do the same(I know it very well) so of course you don’t see the need for it.

If you would have a choice between having an app drawer and not having one you would understand that it's not overrated.
The lack of an app drawer that autoarranges my icons in an alphabetical order is one of the things that bother me the most about ios. Most of the time I don't need to use the search function to find an app it's just an option for me not something I have to depend on.

Finally, I wasn’t “complaining” about the widget. I was just pointing out that it didn’t offer any extra functionality over the iPhone and duplicating information on the home screen would bother me personally.

But you were complain about it like you are doing right now.
iOS simply doesn't have to ability to show the date and time info on the home screen in a nice graphical way(so via a widget). Heck it doesn't even show the battery percentage until you do a swipe down from the top right corner.

And they call us iPhone users insufferable. This guy is so smug about being able to hide icons that he is practically bursting at the seams to boast about it here.

Good for him, I guess.

I spent 10 minute with one at a Verizon store.

It’s fast. Launching apps, loading websites, etc. I’d say slightly faster than my XS Max.
The screen is great.

My gripes and which still holds me back from android.
Why is the touchscreen still laggy? After all these years they can’t get it smooth like iOS?
I will say the bounce patent that was upheld for apple is so noticeable. Scrolling to the end of a list and just having it stop but seeing some grey curved graphic try to pretend you’re bouncing at the end of a list is really weird.
I guess it’s just the little things.

LoL that's all you've got from those 12 setups?
And anyway you can't make an iphone's screen look like any of the setups I've posted. Especially when it comes to functionality(but I'm absolutely sure you won't understand what I mean by this).

For example this is my minimalist setup. https://imgur.com/a/CE0CYDR
Good luck making an iphone look like this.
I have to say those set-ups do look awesome. Maybe it would be nice if iOS was slightly more customisible but until then (if it ever happens) I'll have to stick with how things are now.

Think the bounce effect was patented by apple who will sue anyone who uses that.

The iOS UI is a bit slow compared to android albeit smoother. Scrolling has more resistance and doesn't scroll much with each swipe. Animation is also slower. Overall iphone UI feels a bit lethargic for people who got used to android.
