One problem I see with the case is that the cans inside the case are not protected from the zipper. It looks to me like the cans are going to get scratched from the case.
It’s a completely equal comparison. They should go to the lowest power setting possible, OFF. Just like your TV, on when you need it, off when you don’t. It shouldn’t be a timed out 2-stage process. That's a ridiculous comparison. Most TVs continue to display a picture whether someone is watching or not. AirPods Max do not continue to play music after they are removed from your head.
Might as well have asked if he turns off his car after parking it.
I am one of those who filled in their survey. I asked for a minimalist design without extra pockets and slashes, or at least not on the outside. And that’s not what they did — they made an ugly case where the single biggest piece of unperturbed leather is 2”x2” and the rest is all zippers, canvas, mesh. It looks like the sort of cargo pants with ten pockets that grown up scout boys wear. It’s readily evident that a LOT of thought went into the design of this case. Waterfield surveyed 1500 of their customers about what they wanted in a case for the APM and then designed a case to satisfy all the comments—including both people who wanted a case to completely replace Apple’s joke of a case and those who wanted a case to use with the APM in Apple’s “smart case.” The magnetic butterfly is pretty genius if you ask me.
And they even accommodated people who asked for in-case charging by by using two zippers that can be zipped around a charging cable plugged into the APM.
I love the quality and ingenuity of Waterfield’s products (I’ve purchased many of them over the last decade) and will almost certainly buy this case if I decide to keep the APM I have on order. Yes, I wish Apple had included a better case and, yes, I wish this case were a bit less expensive but I suspect that it will turn out to be the best designed case when we get to see its competition.
$600. Get the joke? You sledgehammer your current APM, for sure it will finally turn OFF, buy the new and turn it ON gain..repeat if need to😆Cool, just another 100 dollars to correct Apple's egregious design. How much extra to add a power on/off option?
Do you turn off your cable box?Do you turn off your TV?
Actually it’s $708..you forgot taxesso $648 headphones
I did. That's a ridiculous comparison. Most TVs continue to display a picture whether someone is watching or not. AirPods Max do not continue to play music after they are removed from your head.

I believe the ‘issue’ Apple solved for us is, “how do you locate your (expensive) AirPods Max... if they are off ?”Bad example as phones being on is still in use. Instead you should as if they turn off their car.
Will they show up in the ‘Find My’ app, if off? It’s a completely equal comparison. They should go to the lowest power setting possible, OFF. Just like your TV, on when you need it, off when you don’t. It shouldn’t be a timed out 2-stage process.

You never know when you might get a call on your headphones. Why do you need to turn them off? Do you turn off your phone?
Considering find my AirPods doesn’t work I imagine I’d use the same strategy I use for them. Look around. Thankfully they weigh 1000 times as much and are bigger than my head.I believe the ‘issue’ Apple solved for us is, “how do you locate your (expensive) AirPods Max... if they are off ?”
