I wonder how much bulk it adds to the iPad. When the magic keyboard came out for my iPad Pro, I got one on the day of the announcement. I sent it back 1 day after I received it. It made my light, easy-to-carry device into something that has heavier and bulkier than an Air. I tried the Logi version also, and it was even worse.
What case you use depends on:
How much flexibility you need in tilting.
How much protection you want.

Some people are happy to use their iPads naked or with just a Smart Cover.

I personally don't mind a bit of bulk as it makes the iPad easier to hold/grab. Alternatively, own multiple cases like what I do for my iPad. For daily, that works for the gym and daily use around the house + a fancy one for going out.

Alongside the 10th-generation iPad, Apple introduced a new Magic Keyboard Folio. Priced at $249, the Magic Keyboard Folio is just $200 less than the $449 iPad, so we thought we'd check it out to determine whether it's worth the asking price.

The Magic Keyboard Folio has a unique design compared to other Magic Keyboard options for iPads, with Apple offering both a case and a detachable keyboard that can be used independently of one another.

It has a full selection of keys, including a row of 14 function keys that aren't available on the iPad Pro version of the Magic Keyboard, and it comes with a built-in trackpad. The keys have a standard scissor mechanism with 1mm travel for comfortable typing, and there is an included stand that can be adjusted to different viewing angles.

Someone who wants to use the 10th-generation iPad for composing emails, browsing the web, and other writing tasks may want to invest in the keyboard as it does turn the iPad into a versatile Mac-like machine that's ideal for working at home or on the go. There are cheaper keyboards on the market, but Apple has built a lot of functionality into the Magic Keyboard Folio, which will make it worth the cost for some users.

How much cost difference, if you buy iPad Air 4/5 wit more expensive magic keyboard?

The MSRP might be a bit high but who’s paying full price for these accessories anyway? The ”$299” Magic Keyboard was always available for under $200 and actually worth every bit of that cost.
Right? Got the magic folio keyboard for my 2021 11” Pro for 80 bucks as an open box. For that price it’s worth every penny, but the MSRP? Pft negative. Not even close.
