I stopped watching at “This is my first time opening the app”. Why post a video where the viewer could just do the same thing in the same amount of time?

The shared/collaborative aspect is pointless if you can’t easily remove someone’s access to all documents after they leave the company.

Relax.

Not everyone wants to download a new app that's part of a beta OS to give it a whirl.

I certainly don't. Props to MR for checking it out for readers with a hands-on demo.

Looking forward to iPadOS 16.2!

Given work in a Windows dominated work environment this would be a more useful tool if Apple were to release for this platform too. It looks cool and an enhanced competitor to OneNote.
It would be nice to at least be able to broadcast a presentation session realtime to any browser via a share link.

Can I install iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS Ventura 13.1 betas without paying the $99 developer fee? I don't see where.

Well time is money, as they say. So you can wait (like most of us) or get early access for $99 (plus the bug hunting required).

I was able to download Ventura as a beta for free just before it was publicly released and thought I could do the same with the current beta and thought I was overlooking the link. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

As a custom software developer, I find this app to be promising. Being able to "spitball" with clients and other developers on a whiteboard using a pencil while incorporating links and graphics would be very helpful. Of course there are other platforms like Zoom which provide collaborative whiteboards but they can become expensive for a small business.
as software developer , make external monitor work in ipad mini , ipad 9th gen. who share without cast.

They’re trying to compete with solutions like Miro and I don’t know why. Apple needs to better innovative with the OS, like something groundbreaking, be the Apple of the 00’s, not copycat existing apps and solutions unless it does something groundbreaking. It’s just another “me too.”

Ridiculous, tying a such simple App to an OS update, instead of making it available over the AppStore.
Just a confession of failure, that they can't innovate anymore.
Tying an app to an OS update has nothing to do with innovation good or bad. It’s likely just a small implementation detail that it’s built for a specific OS. If you want the reasoning behind that it’s likely very technical. The app likely targets that specific OS version for various reasons (i.e. introduction of API at the OS level that allows it to do its business without reinventing the wheel).

I would expect that this app comes bundled with the OS like every other Apple app and on launch will be delectable and re-accessible via the app store. Go about your day.

I certainly hope Scribble is built into Freeform. It would be really great to be able to turn handwriting into text inside this app! Would probably have to be implemented like the highlight function where you draw a box around the handwriting you want turned into text and then hit a button to convert. Just spitballing here... Looking forward to trying it out.

What seems ridiculous to me is that you think this is simple. It profoundly is not simple.
